Red Earth

Rooted in Nature

About Red Earth

Responsible hospitality, run by the people who built it.

Red Earth is a family-owned collection of four nature retreats, founded by Ravi and Rachel. Each retreat is designed around its landscape and operated with three commitments: to the communities around us, to the land we occupy, and to hands-on management at every property.

Our Commitments

Care that stays close to the land.

Community and local employment at Red Earth
01

Community and local employment

We recruit from the villages surrounding each retreat and train our teams in-house across guest services, kitchens, housekeeping and naturalist guiding. Wherever possible, we source produce, materials and services locally, so that the value of each stay remains in the region.

02

Rewilding and land stewardship

Our approach to land is restorative. We plant native species, allow cleared areas to regenerate naturally, and keep built footprint to a minimum. Water use, waste and energy are managed at each property with the surrounding ecosystem in mind.

Family-run, hands-on

Red Earth is independently owned and personally managed. The founding family is involved in the day-to-day running of every retreat, which keeps our teams small, our standards consistent and our service personal.
